[DIECAST] Minichamps Review: Ford Focus RS WRC 'BETA' V.Rossi 2009

We have another diecast review and it's another Minichamps model and is part of the Valentino Rossi Collection. This is a review of the Ford Focus RS WRC 'Beta' driven by Valentino Rossi in the Monza Rally Show 2009.

Valentino Rossi is a true racer. Driving cars in many different disciplines including, Formula 1, Rally and MotoGP. 

It seems fitting that he has his won collection made by Minichamps, which includes his winning bikes, Helmet designs and Rally racers in various scales.

Ford Focus RS WRC 2009

The 2009 version of the Focus RS WRC debuted at the 2009 Rally d'Italia Sardegna, leading Ford to a 1-2. It includes small design style changes. Style changes were made to the lights frame and rear bumper to bring the look closer to the Focus RS Mk II 2009 road sport car. The 2009 Focus RS WRC remained the last of Ford's WRC cars based on the Focus. It was replaced by the Ford Fiesta RS WRC after the 2010 season.

Monza Rally Show 2009.

Rinaldo Capello and hi co-driver Luigi Pirollo won the event in their Citroen C4 WRC, with a time on 1:17:47.2. Valentino Rossi and his co-driver Carlo Cassina would finish just 17.8 seconds adrift and in the runner-up spot. 

The event was well supported with 95 entrants, majority being Italian Drivers and would see 84 classified finishers. 

It was Valentino's 6 consecutive podium finish.

This car consists of 65 parts with 146 decorations. It has 49 Mask sprays, 39 Tampo prints, 26 decals, 32 free sprays and 0 Chromed parts. 

My Thoughts

This collection is great. It is a probably one of the best collections dedicated to one racer that you can get on the market. As I mentioned earlier the collection has some quality pieces in it with 161 models being in the collection. Most of which are limited models.

These models come in a personalised box that had the Valentino Rossi collection branding on it, which is a nice feature and gives the model that extra special look and presentation.

They are excellently detailed and well made models and will make a great addition to any Valentino Rossi collection or WRC collection.

At only 1008 pieces it's one of the rarer models in the collection.
