[DIECAST] 2015 Formula 1 Cars that should be made.

Hi Guys,

Today we have a slightly different post. I like to speculate about certain F1 cars that should be produced. I love collecting Formula 1 diecast models and I also really appreciate that Minichamps and other Diecast/Resin brands make cars from certain races.

This post will be about some cars that performed rather well during the 2015 season and in my opinion deserve a model to be made. I also like that these extra models tend to be limited editions and 1:43 scale.

Romain Grosjean Lotus E23 Belgium GP Podium

Now this car actually was announced by Minichamps and was on their site for a few weeks. However only recently it has been removed. After asking about this model they replied saying; We do not produce this model. (Something to that effect). Initially when they announced it, I was excited because I thought it meant we would have other team cars like the Force India VJM08B and others. It was due for release in December but then was delayed until February 2016, then removed from site and hasn't been re-posted.

Hopefully they are just delaying the car until 2016 and will officially announce it as part of 2016 releases.

Daniil Kvyat Red Bull RB11 Hungarian GP Podium 2nd place

I am surprised that the following two are on this list. Considering that Daniil Kyvat scored his first Podium with Red Bull and the fact that this was Red Bull's first podium of the year I feel that these cars are worthy of becoming 1:43 scale models. Minichamps have produce many Red Bull models and are still going back to re do some of Vettel's victories as well as Daniel Ricciardo's Canadain GP victory. So there's hope yet that we will see some more Limited edition Red Bull's

Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull RB11 Hungarian GP or Singapore GP Podium.

Red Bull had a difficult 2015. Finishing 4th in the Constructors, both drivers not scoring over 100 points and not beating any of their main rivals in the drivers championship as well as no victories and only scoring 3 podiums through out the season. However this shouldn't deter Minichamps from making any limited models of the 2015 challenger. Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat both managed a 2nd place each. The reason I have given two options is because I have a feeling that if Minichamps produced the Kyvat Podium car there wouldn't be much point to doing the Ricciardo one. This means they have an option of producing Riccirado's Singapore GP 2nd place. That way the collector will get a different model compared the Kvyat car. Sounds complicated. In one sentence; this means their would be 4 RB11's to collect and they would all be different to each other.

Fernando Alonso McLaren Honda Hungarian GP 5th Place

If anyone had a worse time that Red Bull last year then that is McLaren. Finishing 9th in the Constructors and only beating the Manor team as well as only 1 Sauber in the points both Alonso and McLaren win the award for worst year. However Minichamps are producing a fair few of their cars. Main reason being the team changed their colour scheme for the Spanish GP. Kevin Magnessun "raced" at Melbourne so that means at the moment there are, FIVE 1:43 scaled McLaren being made for 2015. The reason I have put this car on the list is because it seems most plausible to me. During the crazy Hungarian GP Alonso fought his way to 5th and finished there. That was McLaren's highest race finish for the entire season. It was also Alonso's second point score of the season and would be his last. The closest he would come would be the Russian GP but would have his point taken away by Max Verstappen. I also think that because the nose is different compared to the nose on the Spanish GP car that this will be made at some point to keep McLaren fans happy.

Valteri Bottas Williams FW37 Canadian GP or American GP Podium

Williams are another team that didn't have the best of 2015. They seemed to lose ground on Mercedes and Ferrari and finished a lonely third in the constructors. They were however the only team to finish third in the constructors two years in a row and not win a race. With that said the Williams drivers finished on the podium 4 times with two each. Minichamps didn't produce the Williams FW36 so any limited editions of this car would be a welcome addition. They have two races to choose from Bottas scored a podium in the Austin GP as well.

Felipe Massa Williams FW37 Austrain GP or Italian GP Podium

Felipe Massa added two podiums to his tally. After Bottas scored his Canadian GP Podium, Felipe Massa scored a podium at Austria at the Red Bull Ring, a track that suits the Williams. It wouldn't be the only Podium Massa would claim, he would go on to finish third in the Italian GP. That would be William's final podium of the year. Their best finish would be third which they achieved 4 times.

Sergio Perez Force India VJM08B Russian GP Podium

Since Sergio Perez joined Force India he has scored them two podiums 1 for each year. He has this ability to be in the right place at the right time for that. I would really like this model for two reasons. 1. It is the Podium car and 2. It will be a model of the VJM08B which is significantly different to the VJM08. It looks nicer and has the 'nostrills' on the nose cone and the whole back end is shrink-wrapped to give the car a nice look. This car would be a great additon to my collection and really hope it gets made.

Max Verstappen Toro Rosso STR10 4th place Hungarian GP or American GP

I can see that Max Verstappen will be a force to be reckoned with and is probably the most exciting driver on the grid. What he is doing and how he races is amazing and I am seriousoly considering getting some of his model. Currently there is a limited edition model but it was exclusively released on the Max Verstappen website. 750 models were produced and all are sold out. The car that is limited is the Australian GP car. This was because he was the youngest driver to race. Unfortunately he didn't finish the race but did become the youngest points scorer in Malaysia which could also become a Limited model as that is a significant event in F1 history. Max would go on to secure two 4th place finishes. One in the eventful Hunagrian GP and the Second at an equally eventful American GP.

Force India VJM08B 150th GP Abu Dhabi GP

This would be an awesome double pack that I would to be made. It is because Force India celebrated their 150th at Yas Marina and they did so in style. They secured 5th in the constructors at Brazil and had nothing to lose. They went for qualifying set up and surprised Ferrari and Williams with their pace. They would have a double-points finish and would extend their gap over Lotus. Nico Hulkenberg secured 10th in the WDC by beating Max Verstappen and Romain Grosjean in the race.

Thanks for reading.
