Its another Diecast Review and this model is the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team F1 W05 driven by Nico Rosberg.
As a majority of 2015 F1 cars are now avaliable from Minichamps it is good to take a look at the car that has become the new leader on the grid.
This is the Australian GP livery that Nico Rosberg took victory in back in 2014.
2014 Australian GP
I have reviewed quite a few Fromula 1 cars from this race. Be it Adrian Sutil's Sauber C33 by Spark or Sebastian Vettel's Red Bull RB10 by Minichamps and there are still more to come.
The race saw several retirements including Sebastain Vettel and Lewis Hamilton. Nico Rosberg would go on to win the race with Daniel Ricciardo chasing hard. Unfortunately for Ricciardo and Red Bull they would be disquallified due to Fuel-flow rate. This would aid McLaren in sealing their last double podium finish and only podium finishes of the season.
Nico Rosberg's 2014 Season
Nico Rosberg would be locked in a fierce battle with his teammate Lewis Hamilton. Rosberg would be one of three drivers to win a race (Daniel Ricciardo 3 Lewis Hamilton 10). Rosberg would take the fight to the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi where double-points were on offer. Had Rosberg won the race and Hamilton Second he would've been champion. Unfortunately Rosberg would suffer issues and fall down to 14th. He would request to finish the race and was allowed to. Lewis Hamilton became champion.

My Thoughts
I like Nico Rosberg. I think he is a good driver and is a worthy champion. He just needs to capitalise on opportunities when they arise. In 2014 and 15 he suffered some bad luck that cost him some serious points. Like in Hungary 2015 where Ricciardo caused him a puncture. Rosberg is showing signs of improvement and to beat Hamilton in the last three races of 2015 with an older engine really shows he is in a good stride. I hope for his sake that the threat issued to the drivers about possibility of either being dropped, if "They" can't get along is aimed at Hamilton which is seems to be.
This model is greatly detailed and is a livery of a race winning car. There are some fantastic liverys coming out. Rosberg's Monaco GP victories are due out soon and they would be up there on any Nico fans list. It may not be the most colourful of cars but it would be worth getting as Nico has won three Monaco GP's now and Ayrton Senna also achieved that.
