Hi Guys,
Today we have another Formula 1 1:43 diecast Review. We have something quite modern. We have a car from 2014.
This is a review of the Red Bull Racing RB10 driven by 4 time world champion Sebastian Vettel.
This isn't the first Red Bull Racing model I have reviewed. I have previously reviewed the RB9 driven by Sebastian Vettel
2014 Australian GP
With this model, if you look inside the cockpit you can see a circuit map above Vettel's left arm. The track is Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia. It was the opening round of the 2014 season. Red Bull had had a difficult winter. The Renault power unit wasn't reliable as others. This came true in Vettel's case. He like a few other big names suffered power unit failures.
Vettel lasted just 3 laps. But his teammate the Rookie at Red Bull Daniel Ricciardo would go on to finish second. However the FIA found his car to be illegal due to fuel flow rate and his consequentially disqualified. It would be the first time a Red Bull car would be disqualified from a race and be the one of the worst starts at Albert park for the team.
Vettel's 2014 Season
Vettel would suffer a win-less season with the team he won 4 world championships with. His teammate Daniel Ricciardo secured 3 victories and two back to back. He would score 4 podiums with a second place at Singapore being his best result. He would finish 5th place in the championship and score 167 points. Daniel Ricciardo would finish 3rd and best of the rest with 238 points. He would be the only other driver to win a race other than the two Mercedes. Vettel would announce at the Japanese GP that he would race for Ferrari in 2015 after some poor results and reliability. He would leave the team he had been a part of since 2009.

My thoughts
This is an excellent model Vettel's helmet has excellent detail. The car has the purple hue effect, where in the right light, will really shine. The box is personalised to Red Bull as well which is a nice touch and the detailing on the driver and steering wheel is excellent. I like the circuit map because it means that you can tell which race the car is actually from. As it doesn't say on this box which race it's from.
Due to licencing Minichamps cannot produce scaled models of Ferrari's. Carrera own that in an exclusive partnership deal they have had since mid 2009. So this may be the last Sebastian Vettel model from Minichamps for some time. Hence if you're a fan you should try to get this one!
You can Buy this from Mcslots.
