[DIECAST] Minichamps Review: Force India VJM03 (A.Sutil)

Hi guys.

Today we have another diecast review and again it's another Force India. (They're the only diecast I have access to at the moment and plus I love writing about Force India and it will bulk up the Blog quite quickly). Anyway...

This is the 2010 challenger, the VJM03. It features a very unique vibrant colour scheme, very similar to the VJM02 which has already been reviewed. This model is driven by my favourite ex-Force India driver Adrian Sutil and is recreated in 1:43 scale by Minichamps.

2010 F1 Season.

Although in 2009 F1 saw a major rule change that drastically changed the appearance of the cars, there was another major change, the ban on refueling. All cars had to carry the fuel for the entire race as a result the cars got longer. Brawn GP had become champions thannks to Jenson Button who moved to McLaren making way for the return of the great Micheal Schumacher at the newly formed Silver Arrows. (Mercedes AMG Petronas). Rubens Barrichello who had been with the Brawn team moved to Williams and was joined by the young and promising Nico Hulkenberg.

Force India's 2010 Season.

Force India's line up was Adrian Sutil who had been with the team for the third season and Vitantonio Liuzzi who had taken over from Giancarlo Fisichella at the Italian GP after he replaced Luca Badoer who had been racing for the injured Felipe Massa at Ferrari.
The car carried the pace that it had gained late in the 2009 season. Regularly scoring points and making Q3 appearance. Unfortunately the teams pace fell towards the end of the season and it was at the last round where Nico Hulkenberg scored his first pole and William's in some time. He was able to score enough points to put Williams 1 point clear of Force India in the constructors. However Force India finished 7th in the constructors and Adrian Sutil finished 11th on equal points to Rubens Barrichello with 47 points, Sutil recorded two 5th place finishes at Malaysia and Belgium. Barrichello had one 4th place finish meaning he was classifed 10th.

The Model.

This model consists of 56 parts with 112 decorations. It has 23 Mask sprays, 12 Tampo prints, 53 Decals and 24 Free sprays.

My Thoughts.

This car is really beautiful and probably one of F1's most colourful. Force India has always been eye catching and you can always pick them out from the crowd. You have to feel for the team to miss out on 6th in the constructors by a single point. That's a few million Euros just because a car finished 10th once. Although they did have the Abu Dhabi GP to try and topple Williams but in the end none of those four cars scored in that race. I have this car in my exclusively Force India collection just because as stated it's a Force India only collection and you can't have just a few of them, you have to have them all. (Or at least 1 from each season I don't have a money tree!) The detail in these diecast models amazes me and in the next Force India reviews (Yes I know.) I'll explain how.

I love Formula 1 cars, they're amazing to look at. Force India just happen to feature my favourite colour in their schemes. (Green).

I will be doing a video review soon for the Dmooreslotreviews channel.
